Central Saint Martins

I delivered a guest lecture on the global and local in fashion at Central Saint Martins. The lecture provided undergrad students with several theoretical frameworks to think around fashion as both a global and local system, such as: Adorno’s notion of culture industries (homogeneity), the idea of imagined communities (localism), and armchair nostalgia (locality becoming separated from a physical place).
