Exhibition: Lap-See Lam – Raining Dragon Scales

Using her own background and the design historical exchange between China and Europe as a starting point, Lap-See Lam creates room-encompassing, narrative installations. What happens to information as it is handed from one generation to another, or one place and another, and how does that relate to design?

The exhibition at Röhsska Museum of Design and Craft, Gothenburg, featured the Virtual Reality piece, Phantom Banquet (2020) and the multi-channel shadow play Dreamers’ Quay (2022) in separate galleries. The middle gallery concentrates on the research and design process behind the new sculpture Raining Dragon Scales (2022).

Lap-See Lam: Raining Dragon Scales opened on 26 November 2022 and ran until 26 March 2023.
